“Hi everyone, I’m Dean! I’m a CC/flight paramedic in Massachusetts with about 10 years in EMS.
My love of EMS/medicine started when I was a little kid, and I’ve wanted to do this job for most of my life! I’ve been fortunate enough to work in various EMS systems, from small-town ambulances to big-city 911 and helicopters - I wouldn't change a thing.
I have an AAS in paramedicine and a BS in biology/chemistry. I’m a huge advocate for EMS education and have met so many inspiring educators along the way. I love all things shock, resuscitation, and taking care of really, really sick patients. I'm always trying to learn new things, and my goal is to pass on that knowledge to anyone who will listen!
My favorite thing about being a paramedic is making a difference in someone’s life and being trusted to care for their loved ones. It doesn't hurt that I truly love the medicine aspect as well.
